It took some time to bring together all the elements of this work: I started with the mirror, Kaja was kind enough to present a nude portrait of herself over my shoulder (though I had to imagine her working on it accordingly), then came the bust, then Odd’s armor, then, as a final touch, the sunlight raked through the studio during one of the final days of my stay. This painting is the harbinger of things to come.
